This discussion will focus on training as a community service. Several Community Dispute Resolution Centers provide simple but effective training to community groups and even individuals for a fee. Conflict Coaching is one such training being offered and its use is focused on helping groups and individuals navigate the complexities of conflicts they themselves are involved in. Several mediation principles are discussed to aid in constructive communications, such as reframing and active listening. The objective however, is that Conflict Coaching can be offered as a service alternative to either larger group facilitation or private mediation. Some Centers advocate for using Conflict Coaching during the case development process or as a separate but related consultation for those who just want some tips on how to handle conflict.
