Our BMT course is structured in two parts. Part 1 is web-based with course content provided via our 'Trainee Portal' to our website. This part has been developed for online self-study. Part 2 is a practicum with course content provided via classroom instruction in Mazama Hall at Central Oregon Community College (COCC). This part has been developed to included classroom lectures, group discussions, and role play scenarios. For more on COCC and the location of Mazama Hall, click here.
Part 1 enrollment is now open. All self-paced instruction must be completed prior to attending Part 2 classroom instruction. Upon enrollment, our staff will walk you through the login and signup process to gain access to the Trainee Portal.
Part 2 will commence on Friday, March 9th through Sunday, March 11th from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm daily. Continental breakfast is included each morning and a one hour lunch break is planned daily.
Join our lead trainer, Mr. Jim Ruff, recently published author, Mr. Charlie Young and other Community Solutions staff and volunteer mediators as they present this comprehensive 32 hour course. We include mediator perspectives on a wide range of case work, insights into the business of mediation as a practive, and in depth discussions on the contribution of Court-connected mediation throughout Central Oregon.
